You let yourself go

Almost like you had your own wings

With so much anger, they let themselves free
That's never who I wanted to be
For in the cage, my heart is untouchable
Away from your soft touch

This is the only way it will be a complete part
And that's why I let go
Because I'm not ready to handle the pain
I'm not ready to be scarred again
And though you may do anything but scar me
Inside this cage is the only place I'll be free
Free from expectations
Free from limitations
I know, I'm running away

LOST GIRL

While the lost boy flew to Neverland
He was offered many a hand
He flew along the fairies
Growing his own pair of wings
It was his turn to rewrite things
And the man in the moon looked over him
Like he was his own
Brightly in the night, he shone
Leading this lost boy in the darkness.
But what no one knew was that
A lost girl too, looked up to this moon
Hoping she'd find Neverland soon
Hoping that she'd find this land
In which she'd be offered many a helping hand
For she needed to run away from this harsh world
After all, she was just a lost girl.
She was lost, never to be found
At least not on these lowly grounds
But maybe, up there in the sky
Where she could sing and where she could fly
Where she could meet the man in the moon
Where she'd be accepted soon
On her quest to Neverland she was just a lost girl
But her world was about to unfurl
For things awaited her, in her true land
She would join the lost boy, hand in hand
And they would conquer the skies, live by the moon
The stars awaited them, they would be free soon
Just a lost girl wanting to touch the sky
Little did she know, she would soon fly.

WE DON'T TALK ANYMORE

While I look at the chat we had
The time says, one week ago
And what happened?
I don't really know
We just grew distant, we walked away
It's something I dread every day
To lose a person without really knowing
And then finally, one day, they're gone
Without a word, they just moved on
Didn't look back to say good bye
Weren't there to lend a shoulder for you to cry
They just disappeared,
Like smoke from the air
Almost like they had never cared
And they strip you of your joy
Used you like you were a toy
And once you broke, left you there
On the ground, shattered and bare
And while you try to find all your pieces
They seem to have been carried away by the wind
And so you're never whole again
And you wait for someone to take away your pain
But trust...now that's a real issue
Because it's not been broken by just a few
And while you try to smile
Your heart knows it'll take a while
And people tell you it's okay to be incomplete
You surrender in defeat
For the world seems to have no sun shine
Only rain from the clouds above
You no longer seem to find love

THE LITTLE PUPPY

It was a cold winters evening
Not a soul outside on the road
I sat by my window...feeling bored
When all of a sudden I heard a Yelp
As though in terror or pain
I was out in a flash, before I heard it again
And there lay a small husky
Looking like it had lost its way
And I knew, I had found a friend that day
One that was loyal
One that loved me beyond belief
One that saw me, and heaved a sigh of relief
One that was always happy to see me
One with whom I was always free
One that was always by my side
Accompanying me through life's ride
I found my self a dog
Mans best friend
To be there till the very end
And I thanked God that day,
There's nothing more I could say
And it was exactly what I expected it to be
Loads of love and care for free
That fluffy friend, that needed support
I found in this person, my dog
And even though he wasn't my entire life
I was his
And that was enough for both me and him

FORBIDDEN BEAUTY

She lurked in the shadows
Not willing to be seen
Not a soul knows where she's been
And while she hid in the dark
Covering her scars from the light
Little did she know
That she was the beauty of the night
While she only saw her imperfections
Her flaws,
Others saw what she actually was
She was beautiful
Perfectly imperfect
And where she walked
She blessed that land
Turning things to gold with the touch of her hand
Bringing purity to a world that saw no light
She was the beauty of the night
Roaming our lands during the day
She was beautiful in a very different way
Her kind of beauty was lost a long time ago
It came from a land that only she would know
A land that existed in a time not known
Where the sun, moon and stars had grown
And there she came to life
And like a shooting star
Landed here, a land so far
And now she's a forbidden beauty
Lost and found at the same time

Have you ever been trusted with someone's heart?
When they decided that they'll trust you
They left their heart in your hands
And you didn't know what to do with it?
Did you think that maybe if you drop it...
It'll all be okay?
Well you were wrong
You left it broken and bruised, covered in scars
And left it bleeding on the earth
If only it wasn't like that from birth
Broken to begin with, never to be complete
Yet it pumped blood, yet it beat
And maybe it beat for you
But what did you do?
Left it, uncovered on the ground
For anyone to pick up if it was found.
But I have a message for you.
Stop breaking hearts
That were never meant to be broken
These fragile hearts that bless our lands
When they are given to your hands
Hold them with care,
Treat them fair
And then maybe, one day, they'll love you
They will beat for your heart
Till then, don't you dare break it
The pieces will never fit.

COLORFUL WORLD

The world around me
Seemed to be filled with color
From red to yellow to blue
But my world...
Covered in so few
I was stuck seeing a black sky
With clouds that were grey
Each one a rainy day
Till I looked into your eyes
And saw the blue skies
Till I saw your smile, I saw your light
And you lit up my night
You showed me the stars in the sky
You taught me how to fly
You showed me care, you showed me love
It's like you fell from the heavens above
And while I cried, they were happy tears
Those that come out when I no longer see my fears
Because when I'm in your arms
I'm away from harm
All I need is your lovely heart
You gave me a fresh start
You loved me like no one ever has before
You loved me, and much more
And for that, there's nothing I can say
Except for this
Thank you for bringing color to my world
Thank you for believing in this little girl

For making me dance
