As he rode on the palace wall
One hand on his sword
The other waiting to command
An entire army on his word
The enemy was getting closer
And even though they were prepared
Their hands shivered throughout the wait
But somewhere inside the confidence flared
And the battle horn was blown
And the forces started to flee
He realized this might be the last time
That he was a man that was free
But that didn't scare him at all
In fact he was happy to fight
And protect what meant the most to him
And try with all his might
And so they charged forward
That was the only way for this warrior
He had only one mission in mind
Their enemies they had to conquer
And he led an entire army
Horses elephants and all
While the only sound in the background
Was the fierce battle call
And they fought with pride and honor
They killed relentlessly
And the thought suddenly occurred to him
This may not be the last time he's free
But then suddenly there was a sword
Half way through his chest
And all he felt like doing
Was to close his eyes and rest
He'd enter a sleep called death
One from which he'd never arise
But all he could think about was
Whether they'd win the war if he dies
And with that thought
Inside a fire burned
But none of the other warriors knew
And all they could do was mourn
They mourned the loss of a man
That personified the great
And they wondered how such a noble man
Could die with such bad fate
But he suddenly arose
And with a warriors shout
Slew the enemies king
Till of death, there was no doubt
But two hearts stopped beating that moment
Both were of men with great heart
And their loss was mourned through every kingdom
Each now missing their special part
But he died with sword in hand
He died conquering the enemy
He may not exist on the planet
But his soul was now free
Forever to stay on that land
Where he had made his mark
And whenever his kingdom was in trouble
He would be that light in the dark
And of him stories would be told
Of the man that rose from the dead
Only to so fiercely
Slay the enemies kings head
And statues would be erected
In every corner you can find
Even songs would be sung
About this man who was one of a kind
One hand on his sword
The other waiting to command
An entire army on his word
The enemy was getting closer
And even though they were prepared
Their hands shivered throughout the wait
But somewhere inside the confidence flared
