DANCING IN THE RAIN

It was a gloomy day
And I was stuck inside!
The plants were having a rebirth
But my soul had almost died

And then I recollected this memory
Like this, it was a rainy day
It was a time that was good
When life was all okay

The drops were small at first
And you were beside me
We spread our arms, like the wings of the bird
We were now free

The drops grew bigger
They splattered on my face
And my heart rate rose
Like I had just won a race

And just like that,
We danced in the rain
It cleansed the ground
It washed away the pain

But now when I look outside
I see the ghosts of the past
And I hate that you're not by my side
We gave up on each other too fast

And so I went outside
But I was just standing in the rain
It cleansed the ground
But it didn't wash away my pain

Till you came and held my hand
Together we relived a moment that was gold
But I'm just glad that you were there
And I hope it's like that till we are old

THE LAMP IN THE DARK

Hey guys!! So I'm kind of obsessed with lamps and their flames in the dark. So this photograph, which I took, was inspired by this love!
The poem too was inspired by this becuase I just feel that light and dark are the best combination ever!! They make each other stand out!!

TO THE TIGER

Yes this is my drawing !! And a poem to go with it so enjoy!!

There was a time when I'd see you,
In a different place...I'd say,
In your natural habitat, and now
It hurts to see you this way.

I'd come there just to spot you,
I'd pray that you come out that day,
And now I just pray that you live,
And that you're not taken away.

You are a beautiful beast.
Your stripes catch my eye.
Your pride a source of inspiration,
It would hurt to see your spirit die.

People say the lion is the king of the jungle,
But what about this beauty...the tiger?
Is it just one of those that we kill...
To use its teeth and fur?

It's our national animal.
It's a sense of pride.
But now we can't spot them anymore.
Like they've gone to hide.

I used to see you among grasses green,
But now I see you in a cage.
The tamed beast they call you...
And it fills me with rage.

But later it will become worse,
You'll make a pretty picture in a book,
Your habitat... In the library,
Where people can only look.

And those who had spotted you before,
Will live to tell your sorry story,
And only then will you live up to your name,
And become that beast of glory.

So I want to ask you...
Do you have to die to live that life?
Do you have to give up everything,
And surrender to the knife?

I hope not, at least in your case.
I hope to walk on your sacred ground.
The one on which you make your mark,
As one of the most glorious beasts found.

TO THE BEST JOURNEY...NHVPS

I've walked up these same steps
So many times, I know where it's broken
I've spent ten years of my life here
So I'm writing this, a thank you token

The place is really beautiful
You come to love it quite fast
but the journey moves on quicker
And the place then becomes your past

The court where I was introduced
To the game I love so much
The place where I made my first friends
To be comforted by just their touch

The surrounding greenery
That makes you feel at peace
Numerous things that touched me
And of my heart you are now a piece

But how can I forget the beautiful people
With which I shared this journey
All those with whom I share memories
All those who were beside me

My friends, my pillars of strength
You gave me the courage to stand up if I fell
You cheered me on to reach the goal
And for that in my memory, you will dwell

I can't forget the teachers either
Who led me to the right
Who have been there to support me
Guiding me in the dark to the light

This place, NHVPS, you have my heart with you
I'm just happy that I can say
Once an nhvpian, always an nhvpian
And thank you for making me this way!

THEN WE BECAME ONE

She lay there on the bed
Not a tear streaming down her face
She knew her end was coming near
She knew she would leave this place

Why it had come so early, no one knew
But she hadn't given up hope
Her hands were scarred
From clutching on to the rope

She knew she was going to fall hard
But would she give up grip on the rope?
Or would she have to be pulled down
By those who didn't have hope?

Which was better? She had no idea
All she knew was that she fought hard
And it wouldn't be worth it if she let go
Hope was her only card.

But how then, would she accept her end?
She knew how, peaceful and in grace
She'd leave behind the best of herself
To make her world a better place

She decided to give away her heart
To those whom she loved and cared
She knew they would appreciate it
The best part of her would be shared

And so when I went to see her
She smiled that painful smile
But it made relief flood through my body
Because I hadn't seen it in a while

And then the next second her heart stopped
She closed her eyes and went to sleep
While I too closed my eyes
And then started to weep

Her smile. The last thing I saw
My face, the last thing she saw
I just took it all in
Her every perfection, her every flaw

And then suddenly
I had her strength, I had her love
I had her courage...I had her
I knew she was smiling from above

And at that moment I was content
I hadn't lost a person! She wasn't done!
Instead she let go of her rope
And then we became one

MY SACRED PLACE...BASKETBALL

Have there ever been times
That you feel that you are great?
That making the world yours
Is your destiny, your fate?

Well that happens to me a lot
In one special place
When my problems become my friends
Because them, I'm ready to face

I know my potential, my limits
I know how well I play
I know that I give my best
Each and every single day

With the ball in my hand
Basket in front of me
This is my sacred place
This is where I'm free

There are nine other people on court
But that doesn't matter at all
Because my confidence is on a high
And I will get up if I fall

Sometimes people will say that you can't
So show them you can and stand tall
Play with your heart and soul
And like your life depends on the ball

And if there is ever a negative force
That's trying to push you down
Get rid of it immediately
And make the world your own

Basketball has been a huge part of my life
But for now, it's goodbye my dear friend
But you will forever be in my heart
Till the very end

You have made me grow
You have paved the way
And I'm thankful for that
Each and every single day

When I will see you again, I know not
But if I happen to see your face
Pull me by the hand
And take me to your sacred place
