THE FINAL MOMENT

I sat under a big green tree
The clouds up in the sky
Running away from the sun
The stars unseen, waiting for the night
When it's their turn to light up the sky
And while I sat there,
Mesmerized by nature
A small leaf came twirling down
Landed in front of me, on the ground
And that's when I thought
That leaf has been on that branch
For most of its life.
Did it have the most fun it's ever had...
Moments before it was going to die?
And then I realized,
Its not about the end,
It never is.
It's about the moments
You lived till the end
It's about the friends
Who were with you till the end
It's about the tears
You cried till the end
It's about the fears
You overcame till the end
It's about how happy you were till the end
Not about the unspent money you worked hard for
Not about the number of cars you had
Not about having a mansion as a house
It was about losing till the end
But winning the smaller moments
And absolutely owning your final moment
