THE LEGACY

He made me smile
He made me laugh
He made me cry too
But they were mostly tears of joy
He wore my scars as his own
And because of him,
My light shone
I had a heart of glass
And he never dropped it
That's because I was the light
In his night
I was the smile upon his face
I was his "person" in the human race
And throughout my life
He held my hand
And beside me he would stand
He would wipe away my tears
And protect me from my fears
Pick me up when I fall
He was my one. He was my all
Literally till death do us part
He made up half of my heart
And one day I looked at him said
I can't live in this world without you
If your not here with me
I'll let my soul free
And I'm pretty sure it'll chase after you
Because that's what I'd want it to do
He looked me straight in the eye and said
Follow me till we reach the clouds
And like souls meant to be
We will build our castle among the stars
And Love will be our legacy.
